Local FarmerFrom an entertainment perspective there is much to do and see in the local area. Whilst touring the many sights adjacent to Magannagan Farm B&B one can visit many pubs and restaurants as well as gift and tourist stores. There is also much to do locally in terms of recreational activities. The picture on the right shows a traditional setting where the proprietor of Magannagan Farm B&B (Jerry) is out rounding up his flock of sheep. Carved into the background of the photo one can see the many hills and beautiful mountains which make Glengarriff so famous.


KenmareThe picturesque local town of Kenmare (see photo) is also rich in tradition and is home to weavers, potters, silversmiths and, of course, the famous Kenmare needleprint lace. The town is only a short drive from Glengarriff and the route to Kenmare will bring you to the Healy Pass and the many meandering roads which navigate the mountainous terrain. Also close by are the towns of Lauragh, Bantry, Castletownbere and Ardgroom - all of which are only a short drive from Magannagan Farm B&B and are well worth visiting for their splendour and beauty. Make sure to bring along a camera or a camcorder so as to bring some of this spectacular beauty back home with you.

BoatingThe local area of Glengarriff is a paradise form boating and angling enthusiasts. Here, there are many opportunities for hiring a bFishingoat and also for sea fishing. This is an excellent way to while away a few hours whilst viewing the local coastline with its beautifully carved out bays and inlets. As our guests  we would be very happy to help you to plan you sDivingtay by arranging tours or day trips on your behalf. The local rates for hiring of boats are very competitive all vessels are well maintained and are regularly inspected. If your interest is underwater then you will be amazed with the under water plant and sea life. If interested one can also participate in supervised scuba diving tours which will take you to some of the most beautiful under water sights in the area of Glengarriff.


CyclingThere is much to do in the local area of Magannagan Farm B&B and aside from evening entertainmeMountain Climbingnt there are opportunities for participating in some of the other local leisure activities, including cycling, fishing, golf, swimming, touring, hill walking and shopping. The avid tourist can also visit some of the key visitor sites by foot, car or bicycle. There are also opportunities for hill and mountain climbing in the wonderful mountainous terrain adjacent to Glengarriff. All of this and much more are close by and at hand to Magannagan Farm B&B.
